At Sentinel Athletic League, we are dedicated to empowering youth through sports, instilling the values of strength, discipline, and service inspired by our nation's veterans.
We aim to create dynamic tournaments and athletic events that foster mentorship, personal growth, and unity within the CommUnity.
Our league stands as a tribute to teamwork, resilience, and respect, values that our veteran coaches and volunteers champion.
We begin our journey with wrestling and expand our reach across various sports, striving to uplift every athlete with unwavering support, guide veterans towards purposeful leadership, and strengthen our CommUnities together.
Sunday Scraps: October 5th 12Pm to 4PM
Sunday Scraps – Novice Wrestling Challenge
Join us on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, for Sunday Scraps, a Sentinel Athletic League event designed for wrestlers 90 lbs and under, novice level. Hosted in partnership with Diesel Athletic Academy, this low-cost competition is all about giving young athletes the chance to learn, grow, and battle it out on the mat in a supportive, veteran-led environment.
With entry at just $15, families can enjoy an afternoon of wrestling and community at UFC Gym North Brunswick. Guided by veterans and dedicated coaches, the event runs from 12:00–4:00 PM and emphasizes discipline, respect, and empowerment.

Halloween Community Bash
Sentinel Athletic League & VFW Post 1451
Celebrate the season with us at the Halloween Community Bash on Sunday, October 26th, 2025, from 12:00–3:00 PM at VFW Post 1451, South River, NJ. This family-friendly event brings the community together for an afternoon of games, trunk-or-treat fun, food trucks, and a costume contest—all wrapped in the spirit of unity and celebration.
Hosted by the Sentinel Athletic League and VFW Post 1451, the bash is more than just a party—it’s a way for veterans, families, and neighbors to connect, laugh, and enjoy the holiday together. With exciting prizes and activities for all ages, it’s the perfect way to kick off Halloween week in style.
